Fever is the most common disorder that happens to almost every person. Apart from an illness, it can be a symptom of several diseases. It is an impermanent increase in body temperature. A person’s average body temperature is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 Celcius. 

If your body shows more than 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, you suffer from Fever. However, 99 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit is a normal fever and can be treated at home. A person can take rest and regular antibiotics to cure it. Although, if your body temperature keeps rising, you should consult a doctor and take proper medication. 

What Are Common Symptoms Of Fever?

Body temperatures differ marginally from person to person and at diverse daytime periods. However, the typical temperature has been described as 98.6 F (37 C). A person can check the body temperature by using a mouth thermometer. If the thermometer shows a temperature of more than 100 degrees F, a person suffers from a fever. 

Other indications of Fever are:

  • People can feel sweating all over their bodies, even in winter.

When To Consult A Doctor In Fever?

Usually, Fever can be easily cured at home. Every domestic first aid has some antibiotics for emergencies, and a person can take them and rest. However, in some cases, the patient should consult a doctor. 

1. When The Infant Is Suffering:

A fever is a specific cause of worry in newborns and tots. Fever can be an alarming sign in infants. Parents should immediately consult a doctor if their child suffers from a fever. 

2. When Teenagers Are Suffering

There is no need to worry if your children are suffering from Fever. You should give them routine antibiotics and tell them to rest and sleep properly. But if their Fever is not cured at home, you should consult a doctor.

3. When An Adult Is Suffering

If you are an adult, you can rest and take medicine to cure your Fever. Fever in adults can happen because of weather changes or viral infection. If your Fever is not cured at home, you should consult a doctor.

Fever is generally linked with physical uneasiness; most people recover when a fever is cured. But depending on your age, physical situation, and the primary cause of your Fever, you may or may not need remedial action for the Fever alone. Many professionals believe that Fever is a common biological defense against a virus. However, there are also many non-infectious causes of Fever.

  • Drinking a lot of water. Water can cure several diseases. 
  • Along with water, one can drink juices, broth, or hydration drinks.

  • Try to wear loosely fitted cloth and comfy bed sheets.
