About Sarah Tesfamariam, PA-C

Sarah Tesfamariam, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant with the team at Medical Access located in Woodbridge and Alexandria, Virginia. 

Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree at American University in Washington, DC, before moving to Virginia to complete her master’s degree at Radford University in Roanoke. Her clinical rotations provided a wide range of experience across a variety of medical specialties, including internal medicine, primary care, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, vascular surgery, and psychiatry. 

Prior to becoming a physician’s assistant, Sarah spent time assisting a biology professor at the American University and as a medical assistant and clinical coordinator at Amelia Heart and Vascular Center in Springfield, Virginia.

In addition to her Virginia Board of Medicine licensure, Sarah has additional certification in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) of Substance Use Disorders and maintains memberships with several professional organizations, including the American Heart Association, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants.
